White Rock: up-town ‘Demolition and removal of ‘Five Corner’s Fountain

After many years serving merely as a bird bath the fountain at the Five Corners in White Rock, made of cement and concrete, is now removed from its place at the 'Five Corner's at Pacific Av. and Johnston Rd in White Rock. What will take its place only the City Manager or the Council headed by City Mayor 'Cat' Ferguson will know...? This short video 'documentary' [or 'videomentary'] of the clean-up after the demolition will serve as a salute to the memory of a bygone era during which water fountains were maintained as a city street scape... decor and water display. On the other hand the tourists visiting for a second or third time may very well miss the fountain...a cool place to put one's footsies in, a hot summer day. From the 'Five Corners' surrounded by many a small and quaint merchants stores, clothes, fashion, Chinese medicine and therapy services are offered. Engineering firms, architects. Lilla Mej baby clothes for mothers and gran moms to shop in newly established 'boutique for the small-ones'. Also eateries like Chicken Bob's Cantina, tex-mex, foods and other tasty culinary dishes are on the menu. A cup of tea and real Sicilian Pizzeria is awaiting any one hungry for the 'hot and filling, value for the dollar meal. I really like the corner store, convenient store, on the block by Firs street 'cause they have flowers, international news-prints and food; I call it emergency provisions.
